Hello, I’m Jodie, the artist behind Popping Party and Events LLC. Creating has always been my passion, whether decorating my childhood bedroom with everything I could get my hands on, creating an exciting visual routine in cheerleading, capturing interesting angles in photography, or upcycling any and everything I found, usually on the side of the road, with extras from my grandpa’s catch-all farm tool chest, I don’t even know what’s in there but I have put those treasures to use in so many unconventional ways!

I love using random, assorted raw materials and creating something new and unusual.

I met my husband of over 20 years in college while attaining my BA from Kansas Wesleyan University focusing on all the arts. Together we have four, fun, crazy children.  We love swimming, boating, cliff jumping, river floats, camping in our 1990’s refurbished-by-us ;) camper Dorris, watching Chiefs football and occasionally putting our feet up in our Overland Park home.
